These are photos from my visit to see the Ballet Folklorico Cultural de San Bernardino that was giving a performance at the Riverside Main Library on Thursday, May 4th, 2023. I was waiting for them to set up but was already setting myself up for disappointment. The group was small, mostly children, and they were not going to have a stage. They were set to begin at 5:30 p.m., but it was barely 5 and I had time to spare. So I walked right next door, to Tío's Tacos.
Looking at these photos which were taken on my cellphone, I am not happy with them. They look lousy, to tell the truth. But I had a very fun walk through the restaurant and the grounds, and I really enjoyed looking at all the details. So, while the photos may not capture the joy I felt, I remember that I was very surprised and very stimulated. Also, there were very few people at the restaurant. I should have stayed to order a dinner meal, but I spent more than half an hour there, and I was prompted to go back to see the dance performance because I could hear the Mexican folk music being played. So I left the grounds, but I will have to return on another occasion.
