Yes, I know. Some awful, awful, awful failures. These were with the Holga 120 Pan, using Ilford HP5+, using a red filter on the landscape photos. Note to self, when it is cloudy and gloomy, DO NOT TRY TO TAKE LANDSCAPE SHOTS WITH A RED FILTER. These were so awful, but I post because I need to learn from my failures. Como dicen en español, que sirvan de escarmiento.
This blog will document a journey of exploration of the world through photography. I also want to document cultural performances, but during the time of COVID, these are extremely restricted or nonexistent. The world has not gone away, however.

2023 Lunar New Year book
Some pages from my 2023 Lunar New Year book with photos I took during January and February of this year. I modified it again and finally sent it out to be printed, and received it about two weeks ago. I am pleased with it.
Heritage House with Fuji GW690ii and Ilford HP5+
Not sure what film this was, but I think it was Ilford HP5+. These were from the Día de los Muertos event at the Heritage House in Santa Ana, CA, sometime in October of 2022. It was still hot as heck back then, but they had some great paper maché statue figures of Friday, and some people came dressed as Friday as well, or were painting their faces. As I recall, I had to park a long, long, long way down the street because they had so many people at the event. I took some street-photography type photos, but really, the best thing is the trail they have off to the side, which attracts very few people. It is next to some kind of intermediate school. Godinez, as I recall.
California Citrus Park with Holga 120Pan and Foma
Panoramic photos with the Holga 120 Pan at the California Citrus Park off Van Buren Blvd in the city of Riverside, CA, in early February of 2023.
