The death toll from Covid is unbelievable. Who knew this would be such a catastrophe? And yet, so many Americans resist wearing facesmasks because they say Covid is not really that deadly, it only kills 1% (which is high enough, while also putting many more people through grave situations with health problems that persist, not to mention difficult life-or-death struggles in hospitals), or because we need to "man up", or because it is someone else's responsability, not theirs, their liberty can't be threatened, or else, that it is killing the economy. Our society is amplifying this natural disaster and preventing us from making progress.
