A few photos from the annual Riverside Dickens Festival, held in downtown Riverside, CA, in 2020. It has been taking place for a decade (at least), and I have been attending regularly. I love it because of the period costumes and the eclectic entertainment, not because I have any nostalgia for colonialism. Little did we know about the viral horror that was bearing down on us last year, to add to the horror that we had in the White House.
